The Kitchen Ranges I Offer – Designed for Real Homes in Bristol and Bath

  • 6 min read

When you’re planning a new kitchen, it’s easy to get overwhelmed by choice. From glossy brochures to slick high-street showrooms, everything can start to look the same. That’s where I come in.

I’m Vicky, an independent kitchen designer & retailer working across Bristol, Bath and the surrounding areas. I specialise in designing, supplying and managing beautiful kitchens. One of the most important parts of the process? Helping you find the right kitchen range to match your style, budget and lifestyle.

Let me walk you through the different types of kitchen ranges I offer — all made to order, fully customisable, and manufactured right here in Bristol.

What Kind of Kitchens Do I Offer?

I work with a trusted local manufacturer to offer a carefully curated range of kitchen styles. These fall into five main categories:

1. Modern Slab

Clean lines, minimal fuss. A modern slab kitchen is perfect for anyone who loves a sleek, contemporary space. Think matt finishes, flat-fronted doors, and options like push-to-open or integrated handles.

2. Classic Shaker

Timeless, elegant and endlessly versatile. Shaker kitchens are a firm favourite in both period homes and modern renovations. Ashcott range, for example, features a slim rail & stile vinyl wrap shaker door for a refined, understated look.

3. In-Frame

An in-frame kitchen is the height of craftsmanship — with doors set inside a visible frame, giving a beautifully solid and traditional feel. These ranges are ideal for clients after a more heritage-style kitchen, but with all the modern functionality.

4. Handleless

If you love a seamless, contemporary look, handleless kitchens are a brilliant option. They work particularly well in open-plan homes or spaces where you want your kitchen to flow without interruption. Often used with a slab door but can also be mixed with a shaker door.

5. Natural Wood

Whether you go all-wood or just introduce timber accents, natural finishes can bring instant warmth and texture to your space. Recently, I’ve seen a rise in clients mixing painted cabinetry with wood tones for a more layered, lived-in feel.

All Made to Order – With Bespoke Options

Unlike many high-street brands, all of my kitchen ranges are made to order, just for you. That means:

  • Standard sizes and finishes available
  • Bespoke cabinet sizes on request
  • Custom colours – some painted ranges can even be colour matched to Farrow & Ball
  • Choice of handles, internals and drawers – including oak dovetail drawers or Blum drawer boxes
  • Smart internal features – pull-out larders, corner storage, spice drawers, hidden bins

Your kitchen isn’t off-the-shelf. It’s designed around how you live.

Matching the Right Style to Your Home

During our first consultation, which takes place in your home, I’ll ask the right questions to understand how you want your space to feel and function. Whether it’s ultra-modern, calm and minimal, or full of character and charm, I’ll then match you to a range that fits your style and your budget.

Most of my clients are surprised at what we can achieve without the high-end showroom price tag.

Can You Mix and Match Styles? Absolutely.

Sometimes the most beautiful kitchens come from mixing it up a bit. A few popular combinations I’ve worked with include:

  • Natural oak base units with painted wall cabinets
  • Handleless design with statement handles on the island
  • Shaker cabinetry with modern open shelving or fluted glass

If you like the clean lines of modern design but still want warmth or texture, we can blend materials to create that balance.

Designed for Every Type of Home

I’ve worked in just about every style of home — from Georgian terraces in Bath to new-builds in Emersons Green, Bristol. Because my cabinets are made to order and can be adjusted to suit awkward layouts or unusual ceiling heights, I’m not limited by room type.

Whether you’re restoring original features or starting from scratch, I’ll make sure your kitchen feels like it belongs in your home.

A Real Example: A Kitchen in Stoke Gifford, Bristol

One recent project in Stoke Gifford featured the Ashcott range — a slim-frame shaker door in Mussel Oak with a grained finish. We paired this with Blum Antaro light grey drawers and Mussel carcasses for a cohesive, high-end finish.

It was the perfect blend of classic shaker style with a modern palette — subtle, sophisticated, and made to suit the family’s open-plan extension. And of course, it was all made locally in Bristol.

Why Choose My Kitchens Over the High Street?

There are three big differences:

1. Local Manufacturing

All of my kitchens are made by a trusted manufacturer right here in Bristol. No flatpacks. No shipping delays. No unknown supply chains.

2. Custom Options

While high-street brands often lock you into standard sizes or limited finishes, my ranges are flexible. Want a deeper pantry? A bespoke-height larder? A soft green to match your favourite Farrow & Ball shade? No problem.

3. Competitive Pricing

Because I don’t run a showroom or have high overheads, I’m able to offer competitive pricing for a high-quality product. You’re not paying for marble floors and sales targets — just good design, well executed.

What’s Popular Right Now?

The big trend I’m seeing? Natural wood paired with painted finishes. It gives that perfect mix of modern and cosy — often with slim shaker or slab-style doors. Soft neutrals like mushroom, stone, and warm greys continue to be popular, but bolder greens and deep navy still have their place, especially on islands or tall units.

What’s most important is that we choose something you love — not just what’s “on trend”.
